What to confirm before paying

Identify the billing provider

Name the API endpoint your application uses and who bills for it. Do not assume a direct Anthropic balance covers a workload billed by AWS or Google Cloud, or that a Claude subscription includes API spend.

Check the agreement for the credit

Ask for the credit’s source, the applicable Anthropic agreement and evidence that the proposed use is permitted. Account access, a seller’s assurance and a private contract are not substitutes for provider permission.

Specify the actual workload

Provide model names, expected daily volume, peak throughput and any batch-processing needs. Have the seller confirm the relevant account limits and model access before comparing quotes.

Define access and support

Confirm who controls the workspace, how access would be provisioned, who can revoke it and who handles a service interruption. Keep credentials and customer data out of the initial inquiry.
